Terms of Use — Rinja

Version of 21 October 2026 — draft for review, not yet published.

1. Who we are

Rinja (the "App") is published by Izi-IA [legal form, share capital, trade register number and city, intra-EU VAT number and registered office to be completed], hereafter "we".

Contact: support@rinja.com · phone: [to be completed].

Publishing director: [to be completed].

Data hosting: Supabase Inc., servers located in the European Union (Ireland). Other legal information is in the legal notice.

By creating an account, you accept these terms. They are written in French; this English version is a translation, and the French version prevails in case of discrepancy.

2. What the App does

Rinja is a training app for climbers. It offers:

The App is a training aid. It replaces neither a coach, nor a doctor, nor a physiotherapist.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. Between 15 and 18, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian; the App then applies more cautious training rules (no added weight on fingers and no hangboard, in particular).

You create your account with an email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens on your account.

An account is personal: one climber per account, one account per climber.

4. Your health and safety

Climbing and strength training carry a risk of injury. By using the App:

We apply safety limits (age, experience, load, declared injuries) to every programme, but we cannot guarantee the absence of injury.

5. Subscription

5.1 Free trial

When you create your account, you get a 14-day free trial, with no payment method. When the trial ends, programme generation becomes unavailable without a subscription; your profile, history, already generated sessions and circle remain accessible.

5.2 Plans

PlanPrice incl. VATPeriod
Monthly€24.991 month
Yearly€249.9912 months — the equivalent of two months free
Founder€149.9912 months, renewed at the same price as long as the subscription is not interrupted — offered to the first subscribers only [window to be specified]

Prices are shown in the App and may vary by country and by the currency of the app store.

5.3 Payment, renewal, cancellation

Subscriptions are purchased and paid through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We collect no payment data.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your Apple or Google account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, which is not refunded.

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.

For the Yearly and Founder plans, you are informed in writing, no earlier than three months and no later than one month before the renewal date, of the date until which you can refuse the renewal (article L. 215-1 of the French Consumer Code).

5.4 Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of subscription, without giving any reason. By subscribing, you ask for access to the service to start immediately; in case of withdrawal, an amount proportional to the period already used may be retained (article L. 221-25 of the French Consumer Code).

To exercise it, make your request to Apple or Google, who collected the payment, or write to us at support@rinja.com, for example with the model form in the appendix. You are refunded within 14 days of your request, using the payment method you used.

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (articles L. 224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) for the whole duration of your subscription. In case of a defect, you can have the service brought into conformity or, failing that, obtain a price reduction or the termination of the contract. Write to us at support@rinja.com.

6. The circle and the content you post

6.1 What you post

In your circle, you can post a profile photo, posts (short text, photo, attached session or record) and comments. Only your accepted friends see your posts. Your profile photo appears wherever your first name already appears (search, suggestions, ranking).

You remain the owner of what you post. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and transmit this content to your accepted friends, for as long as it is published.

6.2 Rules

It is forbidden to post content that is:

6.3 Reporting and moderation

Any post or comment by another user can be reported with one tap, with one of the four reasons offered. What you report disappears from your screen immediately. We undertake to review every report within 24 hours and to remove any illegal content or content that breaches these terms.

Automatic hiding: content reported by three different people is hidden for everyone except its author, pending our review. This is the only decision taken without human involvement; all others are taken by a person on our team.

You can block a user: you no longer see each other anywhere in the App, and only you can lift the block. You can also remove a friend at any time, which cuts visibility in both directions.

We may remove content, warn, suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules, without notice in case of serious breach. Each decision is notified to you with its reasons. You can contest it by writing to support@rinja.com: your request is reviewed by a different person from the one who took the decision.

6.4 Reporting illegal content and contacting us

Anyone, user or not, can report content they consider illegal to support@rinja.com, stating: why the content is illegal, where it is (screenshot, author's name), their name and email address, and a statement that the report is made in good faith. This address is also our single point of contact for users and authorities under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA); we answer in French and English.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its exercise library, texts, illustrations and code are protected by copyright and remain our property or that of our licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use for as long as your account exists.

Copying, extracting, decompiling or reselling all or part of the App or its content is forbidden.

8. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep the App available at all times, but we do not guarantee the absence of interruptions (maintenance, provider outage, network). If AI generation fails, a programme built on our templates is offered instead.

The App evolves. We may add, change or remove features; a substantial change to these terms will be notified in the App at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you refuse it, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before that date; continuing to use the App afterwards means you accept the change.

9. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the App's settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: profile, tests, sessions, records, photos, posts, comments and friendships are erased. A running subscription must be cancelled separately with Apple or Google.

We may delete an account that has been inactive for more than three years, after warning you by email.

10. Liability

We are bound by an obligation of means. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Nothing in these terms limits your right to compensation in case of fault on our part, nor the statutory guarantees you enjoy as a consumer.

11. Personal data

The processing of your data is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. App downloaded from the App Store

If you downloaded the App from Apple's App Store:

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law.

In case of dispute, write to us first at support@rinja.com: we will look for an amicable solution. If you are a consumer and this written complaint has not succeeded, you may refer the matter free of charge, within one year, to our consumer mediator: [name, postal address and website of the mediator to be completed — a legal requirement for every business in France, articles L. 612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code].

Failing agreement, the dispute is brought before the competent courts; if you are a consumer, you may bring it before the court of your place of residence.
